The youngest of my children has for a long time had a strong interest in chemistry and in my younger days enjoyed blowing things up. We decided recently that it would be interesting and a lot of fun to start a collection of elements from the periodic table. Collecting as many as we can and displaying them in small 20ml vials. This blog is a collection or in a sense a diary of our experiences. Not just the elements we collect but also other aspects of science we venture in to.
The elements we collect will for the most part be collected through alternative means, rather than just from buying them from a shop and putting them in bottles. Although some will be gathered from samples we already have or will purchase. As they can be difficult obtain through alternative means, with the potential to be gathered through other means at a later stage .
This collection of posts is not intended to generate an income, it’s just a place to share our experiences and a little bit of information on the experiments we carry out that others might find interesting.
